Elaine Jordan lives in Prescott, Arizona, where she teaches and lectures on writing.  She has served as the writing specialist for Prescott College and now edits the work of fiction and non-fiction authors.

Her memoir Mrs. Ogg Played the Harp: Memories of Church and Love in the High Desert won the Great Southwest Literary Festival non-fiction prize. An excerpt was featured in The Georgetown Review and earned an award from the San Francisco branch of American PEN women. Her essays have been published in numerous literary journals, including Alligator Juniper, Bayou Magazine, AARP Bulletin and others.
